Dr. Yehia Bedeir is a consultant of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Alexandria in Egypt. Dr. Bedeir specializes in shoulder, knee and sports medicine surgery including both open and arthroscopic procedures. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in advanced shoulder reconstruction procedures including shoulder arthroplasty for arthritic conditions and repair of torn tendons around the shoulder.

Shortly after Dr. Yehia Bedeir completed his Orthropaedic Surgery residency at Alexandria University, he traveled to the USA where he spent two years completing two clinical hands-on fellowships. The first of which was in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the University of Cincinnati where he received intensive training in arthroscopic and open knee surgeries, in addition to the management of various sports injuries in high-level professional athletes. The second fellowship was in Orthopaedic Shoulder Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center where he accumulated an outstanding experience in the management of patients with shoulder problems, and performed a vast number of advanced arthroscopic and open shoulder procedures. During Dr. Bedeir’s fellowships in the USA, he had the opportunity to work with world renowned surgeons who are world leaders in the field of sports medicine and shoulder surgery.

Finally, Dr. Bedeir is currently very active in the research arena. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on a variety of topics in the area of shoulder, knee and sports medicine surgery.
